Even though he was a second generation drummer, Kelly Prestridge didn't pick up a pair of sticks until after high school. A late start didn't slow him down though, and may have made him even more driven to excel. Self taught, he had the police called on him by his neighbors as he mastered the drums by listening to his major influences like Neal Peart and Buddy Rich.
Kelly grew up in Montgomery Alabama, but found a serious lack of musical opportunities there. Deciding against the typical migration to the west coast, he decided to test out the music scene in Denver moving here in 1995. Since his arrival he's played with a wide range of genre's from metal to polka-punk to blues. Having been a friend and fan of Cherie's for years, he's delighted to be sharing a stage with her, and the funky sounds of DuFour.
